The Expected Ireland Team To Face Wales On Saturday

Round three.

Ireland take on Wales this weekend at the Aviva Stadium in a crucial Six Nations clash. Joe Schmidt’s men are eyeing up a Grand Slam encounter, with Wales and Scotland currently standing in their way.

Wales meanwhile, are confident a win will put them back in the hunt for the title, thanks to their two bonus-points so far. And with Gatland welcoming back the likes of Liam Williams, Leigh Halfpenny and Dan Biggar, they will have every chance in Dublin.

Ireland on the other hand look to have paid a heavy price for their win over Italy in a couple of weeks back. Robbie Henshaw will play no further part in the competition, while Tadhg Furlong looks certain to miss this weekend’s clash.

Iain Henderson is also a doubt, with a decision on his fitness set to be made late Wednesday/early Thursday. But the good news is James Ryan has been declared fit and should start this weekend.

That being said, here’s the Ireland team we expect Schmidt to go with this weekend.
