Picking A Home Nations Autumn XV

Some real stand out performances.

It’s been a pretty successful Autumn series overall for the home nations, with only Wales struggling this month.

Ireland and England both had perfect windows, with three wins from three each, while Scotland pushed world champions the All Blacks all the way, before securing a record win over the Wallabies.

For the Scots the returns of both Stuart Hogg and Huw Jones have been pivotal, with both players shining throughout the series. Hogg missed the Wallabies game, but was sensational agains the All Blacks.

For Ireland Conor Murray was his usual best, while there was a return to form for CJ Stander. Jacob Stockdale and Bundee Aki also announced themselves to the international scene with some excellent performances.

England’s Joe Launchbury looks to have overtaken Lions Courtney Lawes and George Kruis in the second-row, and looks set to partner Itoje come Six Nations time, while Elliot Daly has continued his excellent Test form.

For Wales there has been one real shining light with Josh Navidi taking his chance at seven.
