Dan who?

Taniela Tupou, a.k.a the Tongan Thor, isn’t exactly renowned for his goal-kicking skills, but by god he’s got some boot on him. The Queensland Reds and Wallabies prop did his best Dan Carter impression recently with an incredible touchline kick in training.

Carter famously converted a touchline effort for the Crusaders with a mind-blowing ‘banana’ kick, and Tupou’s effort isn’t far off.

The footage was captured while the Wallabies were on their northern tour back in November, with Tupou posting it to his Instagram this week.

Maybe Queensland boss Brad Thorn had a plan all along when he released Quade Cooper? Tupou at ten? We’d pay to see that.
