Rugby Magazine Names Top 100 Rugby Players In The World Right Now
Best in the world.
Leading rugby magazine Rugby World has named Wales captain Alun Wyn Jones as the best rugby player in the world right now after they put together a special panel rank the world’s Top 100 players.
Just one Irishman makes the list – Leinster prop Tadhg Furlong (10), with the likes of Conor Murray, Peter O’Mahony and Johnny Sexton failing to even make the top 20.
“Our top 100 will cause controversy. Everyone on rugby’s planet has the perfect right to their opinion.” Rugby World writes
“However, should you disagree with our choice of top man we would uphold our right to ask where you were on March 16 when Alun Wyn Jones picked Wales up in two hands and took them to the Grand Slam; and why you apparently missed the 133 Tests before that, played by the lock of locks.”
Check out the top 20 below. Do you think anyone was unfairly overlooked in terms of the top 10?
