Interesting Study Shows How Many All Blacks Have Left NZ Since 2012

Assembly line.

20% of the All Blacks who have been capped since 2012 have left New Zealand in favour of cash-rich Europe a new study has revealed by rugby stats man Russ Petty.

Lima Sopoaga became the latest high-profile star to make the move across the world this week, with news that he is set to join Premiership giants Wasps at the end of the 2018 New Zealand Rugby season.

He joins the likes of Charles Piutau, Francis Saili, Steven Luatua and Malakai Fekitoa, who have all left Kiwi soil in recent seasons in favour of a move to Europe.

What’s incredible is the fact that this has had little or no effect on Steve Hansen and his All Blacks, 52 new caps in total handed down since 2012.

Players like Rieko Ioane, Damian McKenzie and Vaea Fifita have all come in, meaning the All Blacks haven’t been weakened by the departures in anyway, as an assembly line of talent continues to come through.
