This is brilliant.

After a nervous couple of weeks for both Munster and Ireland fans, Peter O’Mahony gave us all an early Christmas present yesterday afternoon, by signing a new three-year contract.

The Munster skipper put the IRFU to the test, by turning down their initial offer and making it known that he would explore all options if a better deal was not put in front of him.

In the end the IRFU realised they couldn’t let one of their prized assets go, and bumped up their offer. The deal he eventually ended up signing is said be worth over €500k-a-season including match fees and bonuses etc.

Of course, with a deal like that, O’Mahony has been copping a bit of slagging from some of his current and former teammates, with Cian Bohane getting the ball rolling with this hilarious video.

Simon Zebo and Conor Murray then did one better, pointing towards a private jet as O’Mahony’s transportation as Munster boarded their flight to Leicester for tomorrow’s Champions Cup pool tie. Brilliant banter from the Munster lads.
