England got their season off to a winning start against Argentina yesterday afternoon, but it was far from pretty.

Jones’ men may have secured a 21-8 win over the Pumas, but it was a hugely lacklustre display, and they will need to be a hell of a lot better if they are to defeat the Wallabies next week, who are in impressive form.

There were some shining lights however, particularly the performance of Sam Underhill. The Bath flanker looks set to be the man who will finally fill England’s openside void, after a sterling effort.

England’s discipline though, was quite poor at times, with Jones losing the plot at one stage after his side were pinged for needlessly playing the ball on the ground.
