The England Vs Australia Test Has Huge Implications If Eddie Jones’ Side Lose
All on the line.
When England and Australia take each other on it’s always a feisty affair. The two nations have a storied history, with England getting the upper hand in recent years.
Heading into this weekend though, Australia are probably the in-form team in world rugby, coming off the back of wins over the All Blacks and Wales last week in the Principality. England meanwhile, looked anything but impressive last weekend against Argentina.
The fact that England head coach Eddie Jones is Australian adds a little more spice to the affair. Himself and Wallabies boss Michael Cheika also don’t exactly get on, making the tie all the more entertaining.
Neither will want to lose a Test game against each other this weekend, but even more so given their current standings in the rankings. After Australia’s recent run of form, they’ve made up some serious ground on England.
Should they win tomorrow afternoon, they will overtake them in the rankings, leaving them in 2nd and pushing England down to 3rd.
Who’s your money on?
Added @WorldRugby Ranking spice at Twickenham tomorrow as @EnglandRugby (2) play @qantaswallabies (3). A win by Australia would see them steal England's Number 2 ranking.
