The Ground We Won has been described as a startling, ferociously intelligent, disturbing, heart-warming and hauntingly beautiful piece of film making, and it’s set to air on TG4 tonight.

The award-winning rugby documentary captures nearly a year in the life of a rugby-mad small town in New Zealand, and it’s a must see for any rugby and/or movie fan.

Filmmakers Christopher Pryor and Miriam Smith spent a year living in the town of Reporoa, midway between Rotorua and Taupo, to make this modest, hauntingly beautiful and often very funny film about a year in the life of a rural rugby club.
