Rugby Fans Fuming After This Petty “Irish Barbarians” Tweet By South African Journalist
Nonsense.
Rugby fans are fuming after this petty tweet by South African rugby journalist Brenden Nel, in which he labels Ireland as the “Irish Barbarians” due to their selection of CJ Stander and Bundee Aki in their team.
The Springboks were soundly beaten yesterday evening by Ireland in all aspects of the game, and while Nel openly admits this, for him to label Ireland as a ‘Barbarian’ team is hugely insulting and quite frankly petty.
The reaction online, understandably, has not been good for Nel.
Ah Brendan. That’s a disappointing comment from you. 2 players weren’t the difference tonight.

This comment is as bad as those #Gobshites shouting at the kicker…..lack of respect for a strong Irish performance

Sour grapes. We have 10x more talent in SA than their “recruits”. Poor structures and management!

What a ridiculous tweet. Don’t blame the players blame the rules and the fact that they are coached better.

Thought you were better than that.

Very narrow minded tweet. SA management and coaching is the problem. NOT 2 project players.

Ah here. I think you're a good follow and generally like your stuff. But this is a disappointing comment from yourself.
