Ronan O’Gara Responds To Rumours Linking Him With The Crusaders

Hold your horses.

Ronan O’Gara has responded to reports linking him with a move to Super Rugby champions the Crusaders, stating talks have taken place between the two, but a deal is far from done.

The former Munster and Ireland playmaker is believed to be in talks about an assistant head coach role alongside Scott Roberston, with the New Zealand franchise.

Speaking to RTE while on punditry for the Ireland vs Springboks game, O’Gara says yes there’s been contact, but for he remains committed to Racing 92.

“The horse has bolted big time with this story. Communication has started between the two clubs. There’s a lot of fences to jump.
“There has been contact. I’m not gong to run away from it. But also you have to respect that I’m really enjoying what’s going on in Paris.
“You’ve got to take it from my point of view that I go to work there on Monday morning so let’s wait and see.”

Sounds like a deal could very well end up being done between the two parties.
