Racing 92 Are Set To Pay Simon Zebo A Staggering Wage

Wow.

By now you’ll surely have heard that Simon Zebo is set to leave Munster at the end of the season, after turning down the chance of signing a new contract with the Irish province.

Why Zebo has decided to make the move at just 27, two years before the 2019 Rugby World Cup is beginning to become rather clear, with Gerry Thornley of The Irish Times revealing the difference in salaries offered.

Munster reportedly offered Zebo a substantially increased offer in the region of €350,000 and along with match fees and bonuses with Ireland, this could have risen to about €400,000.

Racing meanwhile, are reportedly set to pay the winger turned fullback, closer to €700,000 along with accommodation and a car. For once we really can’t blame Munster or the IRFU as there is no way they ever could have competed with this.
