Ireland’s Four Fastest Rugby Players
Quicker than a hiccup.
Ireland has produced plenty of fliers over the years. Straight away the first man that comes to mind is Dennis Hickie. The former Leinster and Ireland winger made a career for himself with his lightning pace.
Other players that come to mind include the likes of Keith Earls and even Tommy Bowe in his prime. But who is the fastest rugby player in Ireland these days? Turns out it’s uncapped Leinster winger Barry Daly.
Daly has become a regular in Leinster’s set-up this season, and is closely followed by another uncapped player in Connacht’s Rory Scholes. This season’s breakout star Jacob Stockdale comes in at third, while the recently exiled Simon Zebo comes in just behind him.
