Here’s Who The Likes Of Ronaldo, Messi & Martin O’Neill Voted For In The Best FIFA Men’s Player Award
Cristiano Ronaldo retained his Best FIFA Men’s Player award last night, but who did he vote for?
The Real Madrid and Portugal star picked up an impressive 43.16% of the votes, miles ahead of Lionel Mess (19.25%) in second and Brazil star Neymar (6.97%) in third place.
Managers and captains of each national team all get a vote, as well as a member of the media from each country. They each must nominate a a first, second and third choice for the prestigious award.
Ronaldo overlooked his rival Mess and opted for Real Madrid team-mates Luka Modric (1st), Sergio Ramos (2nd) and Marcelo (3rd).
Meanwhile, Messi did the same and went for Barcelona duo Luis Suarez (1st) and Andres Iniesta (2nd), while also picking former team-mate Neymar (3rd), who joined Paris Saint-Germain in a world record deal over the summer.
