England Vs All Blacks Tickets Set To Be Most Expensive In History
Clash of the Titans.
England’s long-awaited clash with World Champions the All Blacks in November, is set to be the most expensive one-off Test in history, The Daily Mail reports.
Top-end tickets for the Twickenham showdown are set to cost a whopping £195 each. This is more than double the price the RFU charged (£89) for premium tickets when England last faced the All Blacks in 2014.
It’s also £34 more than similar tickets for England’s Six Nations fixtures with Wales and Ireland this year.
Wales were accused back in November of profiteering when they charged £100 for top tickets when New Zealand came to the Principality Stadium. But the RFU are now set to almost double that figure for their clash.
“We haven’t yet finalised ticket pricing for the 2018-19 season, including the England v New Zealand game, which is our prime fixture next season. We always have a range of prices at Twickenham, and the top price is typically paid by no more than 10 per cent of the fans.” A spokeswoman for the RFU said
“At the England v Wales match on Saturday — where demand massively exceeded supply — our ticket prices started at £41, which is highly competitive. All the money we make from ticket sales is invested back into the game, including in the grassroots game and improving rugby club facilities up and down the country.”
