Donncha O’Callaghan Recalls The Time He Tried To Play On In His Jocks
“It just won’t go away.”
Former Munster, Ireland and Lions lock Donncha O’Callaghan announced today that he would be retiring at the end of the current season after 20 years as a professional.
The colourful character is currently club captain at Premiership side Worcester Warriors at the ripe old age of 38, but has decided it’s now finally time he hung up his boots so he can spend more time with his family among other things.
Given the announcement, it’s only right that we reflect back on one of his greatest moments in rugby; when O’Callaghan tried to play on in a European game, minus his shorts, wearing a lovely pair of red jocks.
"What are you doing playing in your red jocks?" @docallaghan4 channels his inner @DavidHasselhoff. #RugbyTonight https://t.co/sOVbn4IlGd
