Three Irishmen have been named in BBC’s official team of the year. Munster’s Conor Murray and the Leinster duo of Sean O’Brien and Tadhg Furlong are all included.

BBC Sport users selected more than 100,000 teams of the year and the broadcaster collated the results to determine their combined team of the year.

The team is dominated by northern hemisphere players, with no less than ten making the XV, including the likes of Stuart Hogg, Elliot Daly, Jonathan Davies, Maro Itoje and Mako Vunipola.
