Aviva Premiership Side Make Peter O’Mahony Approach

Wanted man.

English and French clubs are currently on high alert with news breaking this week that Munster captain Peter O’Mahony has rejected an offer from the IRFU to extend his contract.

O’Mahony, who captained the Lions in the first Test against the All Blacks this summer, is out of contract at the end of the season. Reports suggest he is not happy with the offer made by Irish Rugby, and feels he is being undervalued.

The news has spread quickly, and according to a report in The Rugby Paper this morning, Gloucester have already reached out to O’Mahony’s representatives about a possible move.

Whether or not O’Mahony is really serious about leaving Munster or just looking for a better contract remains to be seen. He certainly won’t be short of suitors though, that’s for sure.
