Andrew Conway’s Stats From Ireland’s First Two November Tests Are Incredible
Taking his chance.
Andrew Conway has had to wait a long time for his opportunity in a green jersey, but boy is he taking it.
The former Leinster prodigy was widely tipped to be the next big thing after coming through their ranks. But things didn’t quite work out for him and he packed his bags and headed south for Munster.
A couple of good seasons followed, before a breakout season last year, and now we’re finally starting to see him fulfil his potential. Conway made his first two big Test starts for Ireland against South Africa and Fiji, and his stats from those games prove it.
A try-scoring display on the wing against the Boks was followed up with a man of the match display against Fiji yesterday. Here’s his stats from the two games combined.
Tries: 1
Try assists: 2
Runs: 21
Metres made: 188
Clean breaks: 5
Defenders beaten: 6
Not bad eh? No doubt he’ll start against Argentina but will it be at fullback or on the wing?
